Successful attendence for "Deutsche Golf Strasse" at the International Golf Travel Market

Lüneburg, 29th. November 2011:

The golf tourism marketing alliance "Deutsche Golf Strasse®" attended for the second time at the world's leading trade fair for golf tourism and golfmedia, the International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) and can confirm numerous new contracts with tour operators for its represented partners.

The International Golf Travel Market (IGTM) was held this year between 14th to 17th November in Belek, Turkey's "Golf Mecca".

Some 1200 participants from over 60 countries around the world participated at the biggest trade fair for Golftourism and Golfmedia.

IGTM3_low3"Deutsche Golf Strasse®" had a full diary with about 40 pre-scheduled appointments with international golf tour operators and media partners over the three days of the fair.

A particularly strong demand for Germany by Dutch and Scandinavian golf tour operator was noticed and proved that the IGTM is the right fair to bring more awareness to Germany as a golf holiday destination. In addition to meetings with mostly European operators there had been also some talks with tour operators from "exotic countries" such as South Korea or Brazil, which showed interest into Germany and were surprised by the variety that Germany, with its approx. 700 golf courses, has to offer.

In addition to the business, there was also a sporting aspect of the show aside: "Deutsche Golf Strasse®" is proud to announce that both participants won the first and the third prize in the traditional IGTM Golf Tournament with their team mates.
